Major league pitchers are usually good at throwing the ball to home plate. It’s kind of their job. Ok, it is their job.
But things can sometimes get a little more difficult when they have to get off the mound and make a play.
That proved to be true for New York Yankees reliever Adam Ottavino on Wednesday night when he fielded a ball in front of his mound and then made a very interesting throw toward home plate.
I say “toward” home plate because this wild throw with the bases loaded couldn’t have been more off target.
