There was a 9-9 start to the Yankees' season and a 12-11 finish leading into the All-Star break.
In between, Aaron Boone's club went 41-13 and stamped itself as a World Series contender, despite a feeling that there's more to give as a lineup and with a rotation that hasn't been very inspiring after Luis Severino.
"The way we've played, we've given ourselves a chance ... to have a special season," Boone said. "But there's a long way to go."
