Yankees fan actually needed to beg his section at Yankee Stadium to show energy in the ALCS

The New York Yankees may have baseball’s biggest fanbase, but their home at Yankee Stadium hasn’t exactly been known for its raucous atmosphere, especially in the more expensive sections.

One fan singlehandedly tried to change that.

Video made its way around Twitter, showing a fan literally beg his section at Yankee Stadium to show some energy ahead of Game 3 of the ALCS. While the video was probably taken to mock the fan, this dude had a point.

He said:

“Everybody! We gotta get up. We’re playin’ Cole. This is the game right here. GET. UP. Let’s go. I don’t understand. I don’t understand why you buy all these tickets if you don’t want to win the game. I don’t understand. Couldn’t be me. Wouldn’t be me. Shall not be me. I will not sit with two outs in the American League Championship Series.”

Honestly, everything this guy said was spot on. The Yankees were playing against Gerrit Cole in the ALCS, and he would’ve thought that Yankees fans would be more fired up about it. He wasn’t cursing. He wasn’t being belligerent.

He was just asking a section full of people to act like baseball fans for a few hours at an important baseball game.
