Yankees – Astros: What time does ALCS Game 6 start?

The New York Yankees avoided elimination Friday night with a 4-1 win at home, scoring all four runs with a first-inning blitz of Astros starter Justin Verlander.  A three-run Aaron Hicks home run proved to be the game winner, as Yankees pitcher James Paxton delivered six clutch innings on the mound to help keep the Yankees in the series.

With no time for a rest day in the schedule following the rainout on Thursday, the ALCS shifts back to Houston immediately for Game 6, where managers Aaron Boone and A.J. Hinch will be relying on their bullpens extensively.

Astros right-hander Brad Peacock, who pitched the bottom of the eighth inning for the Astros on Friday night, will start Game 6 on zero days’ rest. The Yankees will hand the ball to right-hander Chad Green, who has had success an an opener for the Yankees this season.

Game 6 of the ALCS will begin at 8:08 p.m. ET on FS1.

Regardless of the outcome on Saturday, Game 1 of the World Series will be played on Tuesday, October 22nd, with the Nationals on the road in either Houston or New York.

The Yankees will be without slugger Giancarlo Stanton in the starting lineup, who is dealing with a quad issue.
