Yankees-Astros: Michael Brantley makes incredible catch, turns key double play

Needing to generate some offense to close a two-run deficit with potentially just three innings remaining in the season, Yankees star Aaron Judge put New York in a great position with a leadoff hit to put the tying run on base.

Unfortunately for Judge, a Gleyber Torres pop-out and a spectacular defensive play from left fielder Michael Brantley led to a wild, inning-ending double play.

New York’s Aaron Hicks, who hit a clutch three-run homer in Game 5, hit a fly ball to shallow center that forced Brantley to attempt a diving catch. Brantley made the play, then quickly popped up and fired a perfect throw to first base before Judge could return. Minute Maid Park erupted, and the Yankees were left with just six outs offensive to turn around the game.
