Yadadri temple in Telangana sets new all-time high record in one-day income at Rs 1.09 crore

HYDERABAD: In a first in centuries-old temple history, and popular hill shrine in Telangana, Yadadri (locally known as Yadagirigutta) to be named as Telangana’s own Tirumala on Sunday, has created an all-time record, with an income of Rs 1.09 crore, in one-day.

On Sunday, the Executive Officer of Yadagirigutta temple, N Geeta, who announced the temple's income at Rs 1.09 crore, as the highest income in one-day, told TOI, “It is a remarkable achievement in income, with the huge influx of pilgrims.”

This income received it through different Arjitha sevas’ (daily paid rituals), VIP break darshan, laddu prasadam sale, vrathams, anna dana (meals) scheme and other temple services, said the E O, Geeta.

Meanwhile, the hill shrine is packed with thousands of devotees from the wee hours of Sunday and approximately, more than 40,000 devotees have darshan of lord Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy, and took part in ‘arjitha sevas’ held on the temple premises.

On November 9, Yadadri temple received Rs 1.20 crore in 13 days of hundi collection. Within the span of five days, the income incredibly reached to Rs 1.20 crore that too in one-day.
