Y/Project, a prominent participant in Paris Fashion Week, has opted to cancel its show for the season due to what it describes as 'uncertain times.' The decision was communicated by the Parisian label, led by designer Glenn Martens, which had originally planned to reveal its collection on March 3. The brand informed WWD of its choice, stating that it aims to concentrate on securing internal investments and reallocating resources to foster growth.

As a result, Y/Project will be presenting its autumn 2024 collection through a look book, a departure from its traditional runway show. This shift reflects the challenges faced by small and mid-sized brands in light of a slowdown in luxury spending. The brand had initially intended to expand its presence and accessories business but has now decided to reassess its resource allocation strategy.

In its official statement, Y/Project emphasized that the alternative approach to showcasing the latest collection aligns with its objectives for the season. Despite the cancellation of the show, the brand reiterated its commitment to transparency and open communication with stakeholders as it navigates the complexities of the current business landscape.
