Xmas diners' anger after opening batch of stinking, rotten turkeys

It seems to occur every Christmas lately.

The family chef peels off the wrapping from their 'fresh' turkey expecting a festive feast only to discover a rancid bird inside.

It's happened again on Christmas Day 2019 and furious diners have taken to Twitter to express their disappointment.

Laura Hutchins slammed Aldi for the inedible example she'd inadvertently purchased. She tweeted: "Thanks @AldiUK for ruining our Christmas dinner #ROTTENTURKEY #binnedit #christmasruined ."

Luke Sayers was similarly disappointed with the German budget chain. He tweeted: " @AldiUK has ruined Christmas lunch in our house. Thanks for the rotten + stinky turkey Still in date but stunk out the whole house. Veggie lunch for us!"

And Laura was similarly dischuffed with Aldi after she unpacked a malodorous example. She tweeted: " @AldiUK OMG how to ruin Christmas!!!! Thank you so much for my gorgeous turkey with added green mould and rotten egg smells."

Disappointment was not confined to Aldi either.

McGee's Prints 'n' Things was spitting feathers with the terrible turkey she had purchased from Sainsbury's tweeting: " @sainsburys @SainsburysNews upset is not a word I would describe my feeling at opening my fresh turkey crown today, Christmas day, and find that it is rotten and smells disgusting. Thanks Sainsbury's for spoiling the dinner for our family. I require a response!!!"

Asda came under fire from Jonas Diatta who tweeted: " @asda Well, we are NOT having a great Xmas.... because you @asda ruined it... took turkey out of fridge and it’s off. Stinks the place out, flesh rotten.... disgusting, disappointing, total Christmas disaster."

And so did Tesco from 'Centrino' who tweeted: "Thanks @Tesco this turkey is stinking and rotten. Xmas Dinner is off!!!"

Aldi and Tesco have today tweeted numerous apologies and encouraged customers to get in touch.
