It’s one of the most highly anticipated games of 2020, and now Xbox has released the first gameplay for Halo Infinite.
The stunning gameplay was unveiled during Xbox’s Games Showcase event this afternoon.
Michael Wolf, Marketing Lead, Halo Infinite, said: “This year, we’re delivering what our fans have been asking for most – gameplay.
“Today we showed the first look at the “Halo Infinite” campaign running in real-time and representative of the power and performance of Xbox Series X.”
The demo begins several hours into the Halo Infinite campaign, with the Master Chief and Pilot shot down by anti-aircraft guns and crash landed on the ring.
Throughout the demo, we were treated to a number of impressive weapons and equipment, including the MA40 assault rifle, the new high-precision VK78 Commando and the devastating Ravager plasma weapon.
The game also introduces us to a new weapon dubbed the Grappleshot, that allows Chief to close the distance to enemies, pull objects directly to him, and move around the map like never before.
Finally, the demo also reintroduced one of the most formidable enemies - the Banished.
Mr Wolf said: “Halo Infinite is the most ambitious Halo game ever made, with an environment several times larger than the last two Halo games combined.
“Players can explore an expansive landscape filled with sprawling natural wonder, mystery, and a story that welcomes those new to the franchise as well as continues the Master Chief’s saga for our most dedicated fans.”
Halo Infinite will launch in Holiday 2020 on Xbox Game Pass for PC and Console.
