Microsoft's Xbox Series S and X consoles are now up for pre-order in the UK, with many retailers selling out within days.

Despite the popular demand, some UK retailers still have plenty of Xbox Series S console in stock, so if you're looking to nab one now is your chance.

The PS5 is more or less out of stock everywhere at the moment so you might want to be one of the early birds if you're set on an Xbox Series X or S console.

Microsoft announced the opening of pre-orders on Twitter, providing a list of where to buy the new consoles from.

We know the price for the Xbox Series X will be £449 while the Series S, which has no disc tray and won't run in 8K resolutions, will cost £249.

Pre-orders have been live since 8am, September 22 and there are still some consoles available to snap up.

Microsoft announced on Twitter that the response to pre-orders were "humbling" and that if you didn't manage to grab one now, make sure to sign up with retailers for updates, and expect more consoles to be available on November 10 and onwards.

As of October 5, there are plenty of Xbox Series S consoles still available to buy.
