Xbox boss Phil Spencer joins the industry-spanning dismay over Activision Blizzard’s response to sexual misconduct allegations, Bloomberg reported Thursday.
In an internal Microsoft email obtained by Bloomberg, Spencer said he’s “evaluating all aspects of our relationship with Activision Blizzard and making ongoing proactive adjustments.” Additionally, Spencer stated he’s “disturbed and deeply troubled by the horrific events and actions,” by Activision Blizzard.
Spencer refers to The Wall Street Journal’s story on Activision Blizzard’s CEO Bobby Kotick allegedly being well aware of the abuse and harassment reports at the company but did not report it to his board. PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan was similarly ‘shocked’ over the situation as well.

Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier received a statement from an Activision Blizzard spokesperson following the criticism from both Spencer and Ryan.
“We respect all feedback from our valued partners,” the spokesperson said. “We are committed to the work of ensuring our culture and workplace are safe, diverse, and inclusive.”
The pressure continues to mount on Activision Blizzard. On Thursday, more than 500 of the company’s employees signed a petition calling for Bobby Kotick’s resignation.
