Microsoft's Xbox Series X first-party gameplay showcase is finally happening later today.
The broadcast, which begins at 5pm BST, is promising to show off a hefty chunk of the next entry to the Halo series – Halo Infinite – with a gameplay trailer and the narrative for the main story campaign.
A bunch of other Xbox Series X games are also expected to be revealed during the event, but so far the only one confirmed is Halo Infinite.
With the purported release of both the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 still going ahead at the end of this year, both companies are gearing up for a fierce competition.
The PS5 gameplay reveal event in June was extremely well received, with stand-out titles like the Demon's Souls remake and Spider-Man: Miles Morales being announced.
Despite the letdown that was the InsideXbox event a few months ago, we still have high hopes for this, especially in regard to any new game announcements.
Here's how to watch the Xbox Games Showcase live:
The Xbox Game Showcase will be going live on the official Xbox YouTube channel and the stream is expected to start at 5pm BST.
At around 4pm BST, there will be something of a pre-show with notable gaming journalist Geoff Knightley, in which he has promised on Twitter will show "additional World Premieres" alongside the Halo Infinite gameplay reveal.
We don't know how much of the broadcast will be taken up by Halo Infinite, but the show will most likely last for about 30 minutes to an hour, perhaps it might be even shorter.
