Xbox Game Pass games for November 2023

Microsoft announced the Xbox Game Pass games for November 2024, and there’s quite a lot headed to Xbox’s subscription service in the month’s first half. A new Yakuza game, some inventive RPGs, and a handful of cozy farm games are just a few of the games headed to PC and console. There’s a handful of games leaving as well, including Coffee Talk, so make sure to set aside some time to get through them before it’s too late, if you can.

Game Pass games available Oct. 31, 2023

Xbox’s Game Pass treat for Halloween includes clever new indie game Jusant.

Jusant (Cloud, Console, PC)

Dontnod brings puzzles and climbing together in Jusant, a meditative game about climbing a massive, ever-changing tower. “Ever-changing” here means you’re climbing a stony outcrop one moment, before transitioning to a lush forest area and even a cave the next.

Wartales (Cloud, Console, PC)

Wartales launched in April 2023 to a warm reception. It’s a unique take on open-world RPGs where you set off in a vast fantasy-slash-medieval world in a bid to leave your mark however possible – through conquest, diplomacy, exploration, or maybe just a really good group of mercenaries. This one supports multiplayer co-op as well.

Headbangers: Rhythm Royale (Cloud, Console, PC)

The only thing better than a rhythm game is a rhythm game with a bunch of pigeons. That’s what developer Glee-Cheese Studio evidently thought, anyway, and the result is Headbangers.

Other Game Pass games for November 2023

The November release slate is pretty packed, with a new Football Manager and a new Yakuza game exploring what happens to Kiryu after Yakuza 6.

Thirsty Suitors (Cloud, Console, PC) - Nov. 2

Thirsty Suitors is a different kind of RPG and an ambitious blend of styles. Protagonist Jala returns to her hometown in an effort to grow as a person, and that growth can only happen if she confronts her exes in stylish turn-based battles and come to terms with who she is and where she comes from.

Football Manager 2024 (PC, Cloud, Console) - Nov. 6

Another year, another Football Manager with deeper simulation elements and more ways to take your dream team to the top. The PC and console versions launch the same day, though they’re separate listings.

Dungeons 4 (Console, Cloud, PC) - Nov. 9

Dungeons 4 is headed to Game Pass on launch day. It’s the latest in the series of quirky management-slash-cozy builders where you, a dark elf, create the ideal dungeon home for your ghoulish minions so they can head out into the world and transform its beautiful goodness into splendid shadow.

Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name (Console, PC, Cloud) - Nov. 9

RGG Studios is doing something a bit different with Gaiden, taking a break from the action game series’ main story to explore what happens to Kiryu between Like A Dragon and Infinite Wealth. Kiryu-slash-Joryu has a new set of abilities too, some slick James Bond-style skills that are unlike anything he’s wielded before.

Wild Hearts via EA Play (Cloud, Console, PC) - Nov. 9

EA’s take on Monster Hunter is bringing its unique style of building and creature tracking to Game Pass. We were impressed with Wild Hearts‘ creative monster designs and inventive weapons when it first launched in February 2023. This one’s definitely worth checking out.

Spirittea (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S) - Nov. 13

Here’s something unique. Spirittea blends cozyStardew Valley-style with a Studio Ghibli-adjacent story. The developer counts Spirited Away as one of their primary inspirations, and it’s easy to see that shine through. You can see spirits, so it’s your responsibility to help them now. That includes refurbishing the town and managing the local bathhouse, all while making friends and carving a niche for yourself.

Coral Island (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S) - Nov. 14

If you’re after a more traditional style of cozy, Coral Island is probably worth checking out. It’s your standard farm-sim, with a big, open island ready for you to shape it, crops, animals, over five dozen friends to make, and roughly 25 to romance.
