Xbox Cloud Gaming Leaks Claim Return of Lost Classics, Including 'Aegis Wing'

A series of new leaks involving the Xbox Cloud Gaming service is suggesting that classic games may make their debut on the platform and deliver a new retro experience.

Based on the leaks, classic titles like "Aegis Wing" and more were spotted on the Xbox Cloud Gaming platform before being removed by Microsoft.

Xbox Cloud Gaming Leaks Return of Classic Games

According to the latest discoveries by dataminers like @redphx (via X), new activity on Microsoft's xCloud website showed the listing of lost classic games on the platform before being taken down.

The leaker said that this activity started last month when "Armed and Dangerous" was first listed on the Xbox Cloud Gaming platform, featuring a $100 price tag and a release date.

At first, the leaker thought that this may be a mistake on Microsoft's end as the company immediately deleted the listing, but many who have seen this rejoiced.

Now, other classic games were spotted on the xCloud platform, including the likes of "Aegis Wing," "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time," "War Logs," and more. Each game has the same pricing and odd placeholders like the one from several weeks ago.

Xbox Cloud to Bring Back Lost Classics?

Based on the leaks, reports claimed that Microsoft may be working on bringing back these lost classics to the Xbox experience, making it available via the Xbox Cloud Gaming service.

Legacy titles remain a challenge for Microsoft to make available on modern gaming experiences. Some titles face issues like being delisted and are tied to older hardware or software, but according to DigitalTrends, Xbox Cloud Gaming may fix this and offer a more "practical workaround."

Streaming these games via the cloud may help make them available to modern hardware. However, there is still the problem of latency and emulation that may limit the performance of these titles.
