Xavier Tillman jumps into the NCAA’s top-20 player rankings

The Xavier Tillman hype train just will not stop. Andy Katz of NCAA.com has started releasing his top-25 player rankings for the 2019-20 season and, low and behold, Xavier Tillman landed right at #20 on the annual preseason list.

This isn’t exactly a shock given that Tillman is already starting to be looked at as a potential dark horse lottery pick next summer. Nonetheless, it is still awesome to see someone like Tillman continue his meteoric rise up the NCAA ranks.

Here is what Katz said about Xavier Tillman’s ranking:

“No more Nick Ward, no more Kenny Goins, that puts even more responsibility on Xavier Tillman, but he can handle it and he will help the Spartans potentially to another Final Four run.”

It is possible that there will be a few more Spartans on this list. Cassius Winston is a lock, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Aaron Henry pop up on this list since he has been generating more hype by the minute. Of course, if Joshua Langford didn’t suffer an injury last year he would probably be here as well.
