Xavier Dye expected to be hired as WVU’s wide receiver coach

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.–Clemson grad assistant and former Tigers receiver Xavier Dye is joining West Virginia head coach Neal Brown’s coaching staff.

According to Dye’s Twitter, he is expected to join the Mountaineers’ staff as a wide receivers coach.

WVU has not announced the hire but his Twitter profile reads that he is the new receivers coach.

This will be Greenwood, SC native’s first coaching job. For the last two years he served as a grad assistant at Clemson, helping the receivers coach and co-offensive coordinator Jeff Scott.

Dye played with the Tigers for four seasons (2007-2010). During his career there, he had 412 yards and four touchdowns on 28 plays.
