Xavien Howard and DeVante Parker did not practice on Wednesday

The Miami Dolphins were without two key starters in practice on Wednesday, as they ready themselves for their Week 6 contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Xavien Howard did not participate due to shoulder and groin injuries which are the same ones he has dealt with over the last week or so.

Wide receiver Devante Parker was also not taking part in practice due to the hamstring injury that kept him out of the Week 5 game against Tampa Bay.

Howard’s injury isn’t something to be too worried about as far as keeping him out. He was able to play through it last week, so this may just be a rest day for him to see if the day off helps. Parker, on the other hand, missed last week, so the hamstring appears to be nagging him.

Three players were limited in practice including quarterback Jacoby Brissett and tight end Adam Shaheen who were clearly injured in the last game. Shaheen left the game with a knee while Brissett rode it out and played with a hamstring. Byron Jones was also limited, as he was last week, however, he’s now listed with just an Achilles after having a quadricep on last week’s report.

Safety Brandon Jones also remains on the injury report with an ankle despite being a full participant on Wednesday, and center Greg Mancz was removed from the injury report completely after battling through a neck last week.

For those wondering, Tua Tagovailoa did practice today as well, but, with him still being on the injured reserve, for now, he doesn’t have to be listed on the report.
