X Factor star Amelia Lily stunned fans on Tuesday when she announced the arrival of her first child.
The 30-year-old singer took to Instagram to share the news, posting several heartwarming photos with her newborn daughter and opening up about the “rough times” they had faced.
Amelia, who is engaged to Eddie McQueen, wrote in her post: “The best secret we’ve ever kept… Myself and Eddie would like to introduce our daughter, Pearl McQueen.
“Born 23.05.25 at 10:11am weighing a little chunky 8.12lbs.
“9 months of carrying you, Pearl, and being in our little pregnancy bubble. Now you are finally here.”
Reflecting on the challenges of motherhood, she added: “We’ve had a bit of a rough start but we’re on the mend now.

“I cannot thank all the midwives, nurses, and consultants at James Cook hospital enough for looking after us both. I’ll forever be grateful. Baby Pearl, you have made all our dreams come true.”
The ex Celebrity Big Brother star announced her engagement in 2023 to Eddie, the son of Scotland, Manchester United and Leeds footballer, Gordon McQueen, with a joyful Instagram post that read: “MRS MCQUEEN TO BE!”
While it’s not known when the couple first got together, Eddie made his debut on Amelia’s Instagram in September 2023.
Amelia rose to fame after finishing in third place on X Factor in 2011. Since then, she has appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017 and briefly dated I’m A Celebrity winner Sam Thompson.
Though she never fully left her music career, Amelia also joined Geordie Shore in 2020 but departed after two series.
Last year, Amelia faced another health scare when she had to pull out of the Sunderland Food and Drink Festival after being rushed to the hospital.
She later updated fans on Instagram with a photo of her hooked up to an IV, explaining that she was “severely unwell”.

She penned: “Hello everyone, after a really tough week of being severely unwell, I have never felt like this in my life.
“I have been admitted into hospital with an underlying infection. I am so sorry that I won't be able to perform tomorrow evening at the @sunderlandfooddrinkfest.
“I love performing and am absolutely gutted I can't be there tomorrow but I know I'm in the best place.”
The following day, she updated her followers, sharing that she had received her test results and had been discharged from the hospital.
The singer, who was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of three, had previously spoken about the seriousness of her condition during her time on X Factor.
