X Factor's Tracyleanne Jefford needs operation after being diagnosed with cancer

X Factor 's Tracyleanne Jefford has been diagnosed with skin cancer.

The singer, who appeared on the ITV talent show in 2017, was given the devastating diagnosis two weeks ago.

Traceyleanne, who was taken to the live shows by judge Nicole Scherzinger, was told she has basal cell carcinoma (BCC), which is the most common type of skin cancer.

The 35-year-old now needs an operation, in which she'll have some of her nose removed.

A source close to the singer told The Sun : "She was diagnosed with cancer on her face a couple of weeks ago.

"She’s got to go for another op in two or three weeks.

"They’ll basically take away parts of the nose and rebuild it."

BCC can be cured in almost every case and is often known as a rodent ulcer.

They grow slowly and never spread to the other areas of the body.

However, if left untreated that can cause disfigurement, especially on the face.

Tracyleanne originally auditioned for X Factor in 2006 and came back in 2017 with a new look.

She had lost five and a half stone and told the judges she was going through a divorce from her husband at the time.
