X Factor's Tracyleanne Jefford has tumour cut off of her nose on The Bad Skin Clinic

The X Factor's Tracyleanne Jefford has allowed cameras to capture the moment she had her cancerous tumour cut off of her nose.

The talent show star, 35, will go under the knife in scenes set to air on Quest's The Bad Skin Clinic.

On tonight's episode of the medical show, the singer will have the lump on her nose taken away after being diagnosed, in April, with basal cell carcinoma (BCC), a common type of skin cancer.

Speaking ahead of the surgery, the brave star will share the moment she first became concerned about her health, as she says: "You never ever think it’s going to happen to you.

“About a year-and-a-half ago, I came up with a little lump raising from the side of my nose. I was quite concerned, but I still never thought skin cancer."

Revealing her diagnosis came as a shock, she adds: "I had no suspicions of any skin cancer at all.”

TracyLeanne will also discuss her fears of how the surgery could change her appearance as she muses: “Am I going to look the same? Is my nose going to look disfigured? Am I ever going to look the same again?”

Viewers will then see TracyLeanne on the operating table as the medical series' Doctor Emma cuts away the growth.

As she analyses the tissue, Dr Emma will share with TV watchers: “This kind of swirly stuff, this is sun damage. This is purely caused by UV radiation. And she’s so young, and she has a lot of it.”

TracyLeanna then has to wait over an hour to see if the surgery was a success.

Dr Emma finally returns with good news as she tells the anxious patient: “All the cancer is now cut out, that’s it all removed."

TraceyLeanne responds to Dr Emma: “Thank God for that. I feel amazing,” she says. “Thank you Emma for everything, I feel like having a party now!”

The camera crew will then visit Tracyleanna Six weeks after her surgery to see how she is getting on and how her scarring is looking.

The surgery follows on from TracyLeanne, who appeared on X factor in 2017, revealing she got hooked on sunbeds to keep herself looking bronzed.

She told  The Sun  : "I struggled with my appearance for years.

“Having a bit of colour made me feel good about myself. It gave me more confidence.

“So I was going on the sun beds every single day for about 15 minutes.

When I look back it, I say to myself, ‘How foolish were you?’

“When I saw stories in the paper about someone getting skin cancer from sun beds I’d think, ‘Aw dear girl’. I thought it’d never happen to me.”

Tracyleanne appeared on The X Factor in 2017 (PA)

She originally noticed the lump on her nose around a year ago but ignored it until her sister urged her to go to a doctor.

Tracyleanne originally auditioned for  X Factor  in 2006 and came back in 2017 with a new look.

She had lost five and a half stone and told the judges she was going through a divorce from her husband at the time.

She made it through to the live shows with Nicole Scherzinger as part of her over-28s category.
