X Factor star Nicky McDonald tied the knot with his stunning fiance Brandi Sommer last week.
Nicky, of Motherwell, and American Brandi stunned their family and friends by announcing they got engaged during a visit to Trump Turnberry in Ayrshire last month.
And last Thursday the couple tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at Chatelherault Country Park, followed by a stunning reception at Dalziel Park, surrounded by their loved ones including former Celtic and Scotland star Kris Commons and his fiance Lisa Hague.
Nicky’s best friends from his X Factor days, Sam Bailey – whose daughter he is godfather to – and Luke Friend were also on the guest list and performed a beautiful duet for the couple on the day.
And Nicky told the Advertiser: “It was just an amazing day from start to finish. Brandi organised everything, all I had to do was pick up the kilts.
“It was our dream wedding and we would like to say a massive thank you to everyone, in particular my fans, for all of their messages of support and love.
“We’re very much looking forward to married life and getting our honeymoon booked when the dust settles.”
Nicky had his brother Kevin by his side as his best man and his younger sister Antonia as bridesmaid, along with Brandi’s sisters Kaley and Abby and Kevin’s girlfriend Aja Anderson in their bridal party.
His proud mum Eileen added: “Nicholas and Brandi really are a true love story and we couldn’t be more happy for them, or indeed proud of them, and what they achieved on their big day. Putting such a beautiful wedding together in such a short space of time was amazing.”
