X Factor's Grace Davies slams celebrity show for giving reality stars an easy ride

X Factor runner-up Grace Davies has slammed the new celebrity version for giving reality stars an easy ride.

The singer, 22, came second in the 2017 series, losing out to Louis Walsh's group Rak-Su.

She was watching as Celebrity X Factor made its debut on Saturday night, with famous famous including a band made up of Love Island stars instead of regular singers.

Grace slammed the show in a sarcastic tweet, pointing out the celebrities have been able to skip two difficult stages to go straight tot the live shows after the auditon.

In a post on Twitter , she wrote: "So ur tellin me if I’d have gone on Love Island I could have SKIPPED me first audition AND boot camp ????????

"F**k me i was robbed."

X Factor Celebrity proved a hit with viewers as they flocked to Twitter to declare the new version the best its been in years.

However, it still failed to compete with Strictly Come Dancing in the ratings.

Celebrity X Factor peaked at an impressive 5.1 million, while Strictly soared above the nine million mark.

The show returns next week with more stars set to sing for the judges, including reality star-turned-country singer Megan McKenna and Vinnie Jones.

Saturday night's show featured a group of Love Island stars called The Islanders belting out a tune.

The band, featuring Wes Nelson , Zara McDermott , Samira Mighty and Eyal Booker, got lukewarm responses from the judges,

The Chase's Jenny Ryan and journalist Martin Bashir came out on top as they both landed standing ovations from the judges and the star-studded audience.
