Christopher Maloney has revealed his heartbreak following his nan's death.
The former X-Factor star broke the tragic news on Twitter this afternoon, saying he will "never get over this hurt".
He also thanked Aintree Hospital for their support.
Writing on Twitter, Chris said: "My heart is now officially broken, my beautiful Grandmother passed away this afternoon and my life will never be the same again.
"I will never get over this hurt. RIP Mar until we meet again xx."
He added: "Thank you so much to ALL the doctors, nurse's and staff @AintreeHospital who did all they could to save my Grandmother, you did an incredible job. My sincere gratitude xx."
Nana Pat has been a big supporter of Chris' career, inviting X Factor film crews and his then mentor Gary Barlow into her house as part of his homecoming trip in December 2012.
In 2016, Pat suffered a brain aneurysm. She was later discharged.
