X Factor Celebrity judge Louis Walsh makes savage dig at Robson and Jerome

While he wasn't even one of the famous faces competing on the show, Robson Green took a bashing from one of the judges when The X Factor: Celebrity made its debut on Saturday night.

While the 'normal' version has been shelved for a year, the hit ITV show is back on our screens with The X Factor Celebrity which started this weekend and unites a very random mix of famous faces.

The X Factor: Celebrity lineup includes everyone from Ricki Lake to Martin Bashir and The Chase's Jenny Ryan to rugby players Try Star .

Try Star are in the Groups category, which also features Brendan Cole and Jeremy Edwards and unlike, the rugby lads, their performance didn't go down quite as well with the judges.

The former Strictly pro and ex-Hollyoaks actor sang a slowed down version of Kylie Minogue hit Love At First Sight and left America's Got Talent judge Howie Mandel distinctly unimpressed.

But it was when replying to Howie that Louis Walsh had a dig at Robson Green and his Soldier Soldier mate turned singing partner Jerome Flynn, as you can see in the video above taken from ITV.

Howie says "they can't really sing," to which Louis retorts "It doesn't matter. Simon's first big group were two guys called Robson and Jerome.

"They sold millions and millions of records...they were not great singers."

Louis is right about the millions and millions of records. Robson & Jerome's debut single Unchained Melody was one of the biggest number 1s of the 90s and they followed it up with other number 1s like I Believe and What Becomes of the Broken Hearted and multi-platinum number 1 albums.

Over to you Robson for your response!
