X Factor Celeb fans say Megan McKenna's win is 'total fix'

Viewers of The X Factor: Celebrity live final are livid that Megan McKenna was crowned winner as conspiracy theorists insist the result was a fix.

Fans of the ITV singing contest watched 27-year-old former The Only Way Is Essex beauty Megan triumph over girl group V5, The Chase star Jenny Ryan, and singing duo Max and Harvey.

Megs was reduced to tears as she was crowned winner - bagging herself a record deal with Simon Cowell’s Syco record label and after being odds on favourite to win.

While many were thrilled to see the TOWIE star win the show, there were some who thought the result was predestined for all the wrong reasons.

Some viewers were surprised to see Max and Harvey trending on Twitter as the show went on - and smelled a rat when they realised winner Megan’s name was not.

“Max and harvey are trending in the UK and megan mckenna isnt??? i smell a fix. max and harvey should’ve won PERIOD,” one angry fan tweeted.

While others felt Megan had always had an unfair advantage as she has already starred in a reality show about her musical ambitions - and released music.

“What a fix X-Factor Celebrity is. Megan McKenna has already released an album. Jenny Ryan should of won in my opinion,” one fan commented.

While another wrote: “she did a show where she did country music (itvbe) and she started put in xfactor so she's a pro already. Nothing new just a fix.”

Megan starred in the ITVBe show There’s Something About Megan in 2017, in which cameras followed her as she recorded music and performed in Nashville, America.

The success of the show saw her single High Heeled Shoes top the UK iTunes chart within 24 hours of release.

She went on to support Michael Bublé at the British Summer Time show in Hyde Park the following year.

Many X Factor fans were thrilled to see her win, expressing the view that her success was a long time coming.

“She deserved it and she got it. Boom! So pleased she won,” wrote one chuffed fan.
