A Wythenshawe street has become a 'race track' for thieves in stolen cars, residents say.
On Monday night, a Mini Cooper smashed through a metal fence on Portway in Woodhouse Park after being chased by police.
GMP said the vehicle failed to stop for officers at around 10.30pm, and that one man was arrested by police at the scene.
Photos from the crash, which happened opposite the junction with Goodridge Avenue, showed the vehicle impaled on the barrier.

The images were shared on the 'Wythenshawe Stolen Vehicles and Surrounding Areas' Facebook group.

Mark said if the fence wasn't there, both vehicles could have easily ended up careering into someone's house.
