Wythenshawe man jailed for manslaughter wanted after absconding from prison

A manhunt is underway for a convicted killer from Wythenshawe after he escaped from an open prison.

Paul Creedy was jailed for 10 years in October 2013 for manslaughter and conspiracy to commit robbery.

The 26-year-old, formerly of Mayfair Road, was serving his sentence at HMP Kirkham in Lancashire when he absconded.

He was last seen at the Category D prison on Wednesday (August 14).

Creedy is described as being thin, and around 5ft 6in tall.

He has blue eyes, black hair and has a scar on his forehead.

Police in Lancashire are now appealing for help to trace him.

They urge people not to approach Creedy if seen, and to instead contact police immediately on 101 quoting log reference 1338 of 14 August.
