Wynne Evans has announced a fresh career chapter with a new business venture, following the cancellation of his BBC radio show and speculation about his relationship with fiancée Liz Brookes.
The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant, 53, is partnering with a restaurant in his hometown of Carmarthen, West Wales.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, Wynne revealed he has joined forces with The Welsh House Carmarthen, which will now be rebranded as The Welsh House by Wynne.
In a video shared by the restaurant, the opera singer confirmed he’s not just lending his name to the venue, he’ll also be bringing his culinary skills to the kitchen.
Wynne also announced plans to host a brand-new radio show from the restaurant, blending his passions for entertainment, hospitality, and broadcasting.
Sharing news about his new venture on social media, he shared: “Hello, Wynne here. This is my hometown of Carmarthen.

“It is ever-changing and one thing that is changing is the Welsh House. It’s going to become the Welsh House by Wynne.
Referencing his 2023 Masterchef win, he continued: “I promise you it will have MasterChef dishes on the menu, it’s going to have a fabulous warm welcome and I want you to come and see me, OK?
“It’s going to be the home of the radio show too. So I’ll see you soon. I’d better get cooking.”
His latest career move follows a turbulent few months for the star.
Earlier this year, Wynne was dropped from his BBC Wales radio show and pulled from the Strictly Live Tour following controversial remarks.
His travel series with Joanna Page, All at Sea, was also quietly shelved after one season.
Alongside the professional shake-ups, Wynne’s personal life has also been under the spotlight.
The singer, who proposed to businesswoman Liz during a romantic trip to Morocco earlier this year, has sparked concern among fans after reports that the couple may have gone their separate ways.
A source told The Sun: “They’ve decided to have temporary voluntary time apart. He’s opening a restaurant focusing on Welsh food to distract from the Liz separation.
“He paid the Welsh House to take over their existing space. It’s a prime location in the centre of Carmarthen.
“He is trying to capitalise on his MasterChef win apparently.”

Neither party has officially commented on the current status of their relationship.
The Standard has contacted Wynne Evans’s representative for comment.
This isn’t Wynne’s only new venture, it was recently revealed he also recently dipped into the world of Airbnb, renting out a property in Llansteffan, just eight miles from his hometown.
The update comes amid growing speculation about his relationship with fiancée Liz.
In recent days, fans noticed Wynne had removed his engagement announcement from Instagram and unfollowed Liz on the platform.
As first reported by MailOnline, Liz has also unfollowed Wynne, just weeks after he proposed during a romantic trip to Morocco.
He was previously married to Tanwen Evans for seven years, with whom he shares two children.
