Wylie & Bisset appoints senior manager duo

A Glasgow-based liquidator has appointed two new senior managers to continue its transformation plans.

Craig Allison and Elaine Ramage joined Wylie & Bisset's recovery and insolvency team today to help grow the business post-pandemic.

Allison joined the firm from French Duncan, where he began his insolvency career in 2003, before becoming an assistant manager within KPMG’s restructuring department.

He then worked for a couple of independent insolvency practices as a senior manager, before moving to French Duncan seven years ago.

Allison will be working on the implementation of strategy and front-end investigations, but is also able to advise on individuals seeking financial relief.

Ramage joins the firm from MLM Solutions, after a recent recruitment and has more than 25 years of experience as a senior manager in business recovery, working with PKF and BDO previously.

The company recently appointed Maureen Leslie as a consultant, with her colleague Barry Mochan as director and personal insolvency practitioner, from mlm Solutions.

The appointments follow the promotion of two members of its business recovery and insolvency department.

Insolvency manager Paul McDougall will become associate director, while Chris Wardle will become a senior manager.

Donald McKinnon, managing partner at Wylie & Bisset, said: “Alongside all our staff, our insolvency team has been working exceptionally hard during this pandemic, but instead of seeking to maintain an efficient business operation, we are always looking to identify how we can develop our operation."

Allison said: “I’m delighted to join Wylie & Bisset’s business recovery and insolvency team at such an exciting time for the firm and look forward to assisting clients restructure their operations as, at long last, we begin the process of economic recovery from the restrictions enforced to manage the Covid-19 pandemic.”
