Sunderland conceded a late equaliser against Wycombe which prevented the Black Cats returning to the top of League One.
An own-goal from Wycombe keeper David Stockdale gave Sunderland an early lead, before goals from Anis Mehmeti and Sam Vokes turned things around.
But Ross Stewart levelled before half-time, and he then put the Black Cats back in front in injury-time - only for Chairboys skipper Joe Jacobson to force home a corner in the ninth minute of additional time to ensure the points were shared.
