WWE Superstars Cesaro, Lana, and Rusev rubbish Sheamus retirement rumours

WWE Superstars Cesaro and Rusev have rubbished reports claiming Irish wrestling legend Sheamus is set to retire.

Cesaro has spent the last three years in a tag team with the 'Celtic Warrior', while Rusev is one of the 41-year-old's closest friends outside of the ring.

And both men shut down reports that the four-time World Champion is set to hang up his boots.

Former United States champion Rusev scoffed at the notion when asked, saying: "Retirement? He's in the best shape of his life!

"He's almost down to 205 pounds [the weight limit for WWE's Cruiserweight Division]. He's about 230 or whatever.

"He's in the best shape of his life and he lives eight houses down from us so I see him every day. Our dogs play with each other.

"He's fine, he's nowhere near the end of his career, he may be forty years-old but who cares?"

And this was doubled down on by women's division competitor Lana, who added: "I just did my first workout with him for his 'Celtic Warrior Workouts' YouTube channel."

When asked to offer a health update on his ex-tag team partner, Cesaro said: "I have no clue about a return date, but I know that he's doing great.

"I know he just built a home gym that he had painted orange like a real 'Celtic Warrior', so he's making the most out of his time [off]. He's one of the hardest workers I know.

"You should check his YouTube channel for updates because he'll let everyone know once he himself knows what's up."
