WWE superstar brilliantly trolls Liverpool FC by singing Beatles cover while wearing Man City shirt

WWE wrestler Elias has trolled Liverpool fans by wearing a Man City shirt and singing a unique cover of The Beatles' 'Yesterday' at a show in the city.

Man City beat Liverpool to the Premier League title on the final day of the season by a single point after defeating Brighton 4-1 at the Amex.

The two sides have been slugging it out at an unprecedented level of quality throughout the season, with Liverpool finishing with the third highest point total in the history of the competition.

Even though the Reds fulfilled their end of the bargain by defeating Wolves at Anfield, there was nothing they could do about it as City strolled to the title with a dominant win.

As a result, WWE star Elias - who is known for serenading audiences with his acoustic guitar - wrote a special song for Liverpool supporters while performing at the M&S Bank Arena in the city.

After originally getting the crowd to sing along with him to The Beatles' famous song 'Yesterday' he brought ire and boos from them as he put on a City jersey and sang a cover of the song.

Man City boss Pep Guardiola says beating Liverpool FC to Premier League title was his toughest task

His new lyrics read: "Earlier today, Man City won the league today. Now Liverpool have no more games to play, until you lose to Spurs in the UCL."

Though it is quite hard to work out what is being sung with all the furious booing.
