WWE's Roman Reigns makes emotional return to WrestleMania after leukemia recovery

Former WWE champion Roman Reigns made an emotional return to WrestleMania tonight squaring off with Scotland’s Drew McIntyre.

Reigns, 33, from Pensacola, Florida, made his first WrestleMania appearance since overcoming a battle with leukemia which many fans feared would see the Big Dog miss the landmark event.

In an emotional effort Reigns was able to see off his opponent McIntyre after a very tough and gruelling match.

McIntyre was able to utilise his size advantage early on in the match, before Reigns built to a comeback with some classic Roman Reigns offence.

A samoan drop outside of the ring took the wind out of McIntyre and returning to the ring, Reigns took full control en route to victory following a huge spear.

Having headlined four WrestleMania events, Reigns spot on the card received the pressure on him slightly, albeit it was clear from his reaction at the end of the match that it was a huge deal to him to be involved in WrestleMania 35.
