WWE's plans for The Undertaker and John Cena ahead of Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia

The Undertaker and John Cena are reportedly set for reduced roles with WWE ahead of the Crown Jewel pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia.

Wrestling legend Taker, real name Mark Calaway, will not appear at Crown Jewel marking the first WWE show in Saudi Arabia that he has not been a part of.

It follows his notoriously bad match as Kane's partner against Triple H and Shawn Michaels in the last edition of the PPV.

And an even worse bout against Goldberg followed at Super ShowDown with neither man expected to make an appearance at Crown Jewel.

According to Wrestle Zone, both men, plus Cena, will now only be used 'as needed' by the WWE going forward.

Cena and Taker have won 33 world heavyweight/WWE titles between them but their wrestling careers are winding down aged 42 and 54 respectively.

Despite his focus shifting closer to his career in Hollywood, Cena recently declared he would 'never' retire.

“WWE is my family, they’ll always be my family and none of any of this exists without them, and I will never forget that," Cena told Good Housekeeping .

“I don’t think I’ll ever retire, because I don’t look at it like that … You don’t retire from your family. I will never, ever stop waving the WWE flag … I don't think I’ll ever separate myself from them.”
