WWE’s Bray Wyatt is back and stranger than ever

Former WWE champion Bray Wyatt has been missing from weekly television since August of 2018 and hasn’t wrestled for WWE since Starrcade late last year, but the company had been teasing his return in recent weeks with a series of mysterious and creepy vignettes.

Wyatt re-emerged on Monday Night Raw this week as…. a potentially deranged children’s show host. Wyatt welcomed viewers to the “Firefly Fun House” and explained that his former self is “dead now.”

“Trust me. I have been barbarically punished for all of my wrongdoings, and that part of me is dead now. However, I do keep a reminder, so not even in my weakest moments will I ever turn into that pathetic slob loser ever again.”

Wyatt then used a chainsaw to destroy a cardboard cut-out of himself.

Wyatt’s return got off to a strong start, but it will be interesting to see how the host character will transition from pre-taped packages to live in-ring action. WWE’s next pay-per-view is May 19th at Money In The Bank, which makes sense as a potential live re-debut for Wyatt.
