The WrestleMania edition of NXT TakeOver: New York is always a phenomenal event and the perfect start to the weekend.
And this time around, at Brooklyn, New York's Barclays Center, the WWE event kicked off in spectacular fashion with a tag team clash.
NXT superstars set the tone in every one of their TakeOver specials and it was no different when War Raiders defended the NXT Tag Team Championship versus Aleister Black and Ricochet.

Velveteen Dream put his NXT North American Championship on the line against Matt Riddle in a thrilling encounter; and Pete Dunne and Walter battled over the former's WWE UK title in a physically intense war.
NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler was challenged by Io Shirai, Bianca Belair and Kairi Sane in a wild and breathless Fatal 4-Way match.

And Johnny Gargano and Adam Cole are set to go at it in a two-out-of-three falls match for the vacant NXT Championship.
