WWE Live Newcastle Arena wrestling show moved to April 2021

WWE has rescheduled its wrestling event at Newcastle Utilita Arena.

WWE Live was initially scheduled for Monday May 4 2020. Organisers and Newcastle Utilita Arena postponed the event due to coronavirus. It is now set to go ahead on Friday April 30, 2021, almost a year later than first panned.

All tickets for the May 4, 2020 event remain valid for for the April 30, 2021 show.

WWE has cancelled or postponed fixtures around the world due to the global covid-19 pandemic.

Earlier this month, WWE aired its showpiece event, Wrestlemania, which was filmed without a live audience.

Scottish wrestler Drew McIntyre was crowned WWE Champion at Wrestlemania, which was shown over two days on April 4 and April 5. He defeated Brock Lesner to win the title, before retaining it by beating The Big Show in an inpromptu 'dark match'.
