WWE superstar John Cena has sparked engagement rumours with girlfriend Shay Shariatzadeh.
The couple, who only made their official red carpet debut in October, have opted to keep their relationship private but were spotted on a loved-up date in an Diego.
According to E! News, the pair were seen wandering around the Mission Beach area of the California seaside town with Shay reportedly wearing a "huge engagement ring" on her finger.

"They were very affectionate," a source told the outlet. "She was grabbing onto his arm the whole time and the ring was def on her left hand."

Another eyewitness told E! News: "John was with a shorter lady with brown hair. She had a huge rock on her left hand! They were definitely holding hands, that's when I noticed him walk by."

Cena also posted a meme on his Instagram account on Valentine's Day featuring a love heart stating "Say Yes" to spark further conversation before a post showing a bride and groom dancing in a colourful park.
On Tuesday afternoon, he tweeted a quote from Andre Maurois stating: "A happy marriage is a long conversation that always seems too short".

The rumours come after the news that Cena's ex-fiancé, Nikki Bella, is expecting her first child with new fiancé Artem Chigvintsev.
The two WWE superstars were famously engaged in 2017 before splitting up in 2018 after a six-year relationship.
Belle found love with Dancing With The Stars partner Chigvintsev and she is now expecting her first child with twin sister Brie Bella also pregnant.
It is not yet known whether Cena will be part of this year's WrestleMania.
The event will be held at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on Sunday April 5.
But it has been rumoured he could be set for a world title clash at the Show of Shows.
