WWE Hall of Fame: Fan rushes ring, attacks Bret Hart during speech

Bret Hart was honored at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony Saturday night at the Barclays Center as The Hart Foundation was inducted as a part of the class of 2019, but his speech was interrupted in a scary scene as a fan rushed into the ring.

While Hart was speaking about his Hart Foundation partner Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart, who passed away in 2018, a fan ran into the ring and grabbed Hart from behind. The camera feed was instantly cut, but security officials and many of the WWE stars gathered at ringside quickly rushed into the ring to aid Hart.

Hart, now 61, was fortunately unharmed by the attack, and seamlessly launched back into his story after the short delay. With his induction as a member of the Hart Foundation, Hart is one of only four wrestlers – along with Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair and Booker T – to become a two-time WWE Hall of Famer. Hart was previously inducted individually in 2006.
