WWE fans upset as legend The Undertaker DOESN'T show up at WrestleMania 35

WrestleMania 35 was full of shocks and surprises, however there was one mainstay of the event that was missing this year and it left fans disappointed.

Whereas we saw the return of John Cena – reprising his Doctor of Thuganomics gimmick from his early run, one notable name did not appear on the card and that was The Undertaker.

In the days leading up to the biggest event in WWE’s calendar fans had been speculating as to whether a man synonymous with the event would show up.

Rumours were circulating that the Deadman may interject himself into Kurt Angle’s final match somehow, or even contesting that long talked of dream match with Sting.

The rumour mill went into overdrive when Undertaker was pictured alongside Teddy Long on the day prior to WrestleMania on the red carpet, however as the card drew to a close it was clear that we would not see an appearance from Mark Calaway this year.

It is the first time that The Undertaker has not appeared on a WrestleMania show since 2000.

Fans were understandable disappointed and Tweeted their displeasure with comments like this from Matthew Dix:

"Wrestlemania without The Undertaker is like a football game without a football.... #Wrestlemania #TheUndertakerVsSting @WWE"

And Brandon followed this up saying that WrestleMania just isn’t the same without The Deadman:

"A WrestleMania without the presence of The Undertaker is not #WrestleMania"
