WWE Champ Seth Rollins is ready to troll Cubs fans, but will he get the chance?

Oct. 06--WWE Champion Seth Rollins is cheering for the Cubs to defeat the Pittsburgh Pirates in Wednesday's National League wild-card game, but not because they're baseball's feel good story this year.

"I'd like to see the Cardinals end their season," said Rollins (real name: Colby Lopez) over the phone Tuesday. "It would be appropriate for that to happen. It's no fun if we end Pittsburgh's season. And I would get to make fun of all my Cubs fan friends if the Cardinals eliminate them."

The winner of Wednesday's game goes on to face the Cardinals in the NL Division Series beginning Friday. Rollins -- who you might remember from his "feud" with Jon Stewart -- is a life-long Cardinals fan. He was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa, where there were slightly more Cubs fans than Cardinals fans. Choosing to cheer for the Cardinals wasn't a difficult choice for Rollins, mainly because he had no say in the matter.

"I come from a family of Cardinals fans," Rollins said. "That's who my grandpa liked. I didn't get to make a decision."

Rollins has been the WWE Champion since unexpectedly winning the title at Wrestlemania in March. On Monday, he'll visit the Chicago area when "Raw" comes to the Allstate Arena. Because he's the hated bad guy (or heel, according to wrestling parlance), Rollins likes to insult the local sports team just to get under the crowd's skin. Don't be surprised if he does the same at Monday's "Raw" should the Cubs lose Wednesday.

"It's highly probable," Rollins said. "It seems to be something I'm really good at as of late. (The crowd) gets so mad. The Cubs haven't made the playoffs in seven years. We'll see what happens. I hope they win."
