For the MyGM mode in WWE 2K games, you take on the role of a general manager to run your own wrestling brand like Raw or SmackDown. You can play matches or simulate them, and 2K25 introduced some much-needed changes, such as the return of GM abilities. However, the mode still had missing match types, a rigid class system, and limitations on tag team management.
With the upcoming WWE 2K26, part of those issues may be going away. We know now that GM mode will see the introduction of 5, 6, and 8-man match types. There are a couple more notable changes here, and hopefully, the days of repetitive feud cycles are finally over with the available options. We already talked about how Universe Mode might be improving, so let’s take a similar look at MyGM in WWE 2K26.
What To Expect From MyGM Mode

The biggest thing holding back this game mode was the restrictions on the number of wrestlers who could participate in matches. This has been improved significantly as 5, 6, and 8-man matches have been confirmed. This means you can go for 2v2v2v2 or the classic 4v4 and try out tons of new supported match types.
Another cool thing is that now you can even play intergender matches, which were previously not possible in MyGM with WWE 2K25. With these increased match types, the number of possible matches and outcomes has vastly increased, making the game much more unpredictable compared to previous years.
You also get extended 50-week seasons with more shows, access to the 400+ superstar roster, and more weapons, notably thumbtacks!
It’s A Good Start, But Fans Want More
Despite major complaints having been addressed, the community’s wishlist for post-launch updates consists of some really interesting features, which could improve the game mode much more. Fans are vocal about wanting individual mid-card titles to have their own dedicated tracking. As of now, titles often feel like boosts rather than legacy items. Fans would prefer to have a Title History tab, which makes tracking easier.
Another request being made is for a more dynamic Trade Deadline. Fans would prefer if the AI offered trades based on roster needs, as it would make the mode easier. The addition of Free Agent bidding wars could make the season interesting with new superstars making their entrances. We already know that AI is improving in WWE 2K26, so this is certainly possible.
A huge addition would be the integration of Universe Mode cutscenes. Fans would love to see short cutscenes, triggered by rivalry levels. Once all of this is added to MyGM, the mode will be better than ever and attract more fans towards the game.
