John Cena has been on a very interesting run ever since he attacked Cody Rhodes and turned heel in 2025’s Elimination Chamber event. It was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster, with Cena going as far as insulting some of his fans as he went into the heel character. After that shtick was over, he abruptly turned face again in an episode of SmackDown in August.
Now, with Cena’s farewell tour underway, 2K has decided to immortalize that polarizing chapter of Cena’s career in WWE 2K25. After teasing DLC content a couple of days ago, the official WWE Games account on Twitter just posted the full Farewell Tour Entrance.
WWE 2K25 Farewell Tour Pack Details
This new entrance looks to be a part of the upcoming Farewell Tour Pack DLC. In the entrance, the Titantron just says Cena’s name, no flashy videos. Cena walks to the ring with his head down, holding a cloth that says “The Last Time Is Now.” In my opinion, the entrance has a severe lack of “John Cena sucks” chants that were incredibly loud during the heel run.
The WWE Games account also showed off the iconic “Word Life” entrance, complete with the legendary song and the Doctor of Thuganomics in his recognizable attire. At the end of each reveal, 2K teases the date October 16th, alluding to the release date for the DLC. We are likely going to get a few new Cena models (Thuganomics and Wrestlemania 41/Heel Cena are pretty much confirmed from these entrances), possibly a new model for Brock Lesnar from Summerslam 2025, and even R-Truth’s silly “Ron Cena” character.
It’s hard to ignore that 2K is a bit late to the party with this one. If they had revealed all this while the heel run was still going, the hype and success would have been much higher. It is also worth saying the Doctor of Thuganomics model isn’t necessarily anything new, as fans have seen (and paid) for this model in previous versions of the game. Stay tuned to see what else 2K has in store for us with the upcoming DLC on October 16th!
