WWE 2K25 Face Texture Template Guide

WWE 2K25 gives players access to over 300 wrestlers, making it one of the biggest rosters ever seen in a wrestling game. But even with such a high number of WWE Superstars to choose from, not every wrestler will always be available. That’s where downloading wrestlers made by the WWE 2K25 community comes in handy. Whether you’re trying to add an actual wrestler into the game or simply create a WWE version of yourself, face textures will come in handy.

For the uninitiated, face textures are essentially makeshift face scans that WWE 2K creators use to upload custom faces into the game. Many use them to create some fun characters, while others use them to insert some wrestlers into WWE 2K25 that aren’t a part of its roster.

This begs the question: How can you make your own face texture? Surprisingly, it’s easier than you might think. Here’s everything you need to know about creating a custom face texture for use in WWE 2K25.

How To Make Face Textures In WWE 2K25

Find An Existing Face Texture

There are two ways to go about creating a face texture to use in WWE 2K25. One way is to do it from scratch in some kind of photo editing software, but for simplicity’s sake, we’ll go over how to do it completely free and within an internet browser.

The first thing to do is find an existing picture of a WWE 2K face texture to use as a base. This can be done by going to Google (or any search engine of your choice) and searching a phrase like “WWE 2K25 face texture”. It honestly doesn’t matter which one you choose because we’ll be changing its face later. Once you’ve found one that you like, click on it, right-click the image preview, and select “Open image in new tab.” Right-click on the image again and save it wherever you like. Just make sure it’s somewhere you can easily find it.

The next step is to find a face that you want to add to a created Superstar. If you’re looking to add some kind of character, or a wrestler that isn’t in the game, try searching for a render of that subject on Google.

Swap The Face Texture’s Face With The Face You Want

Now that you’ve found a face texture, the next step is to insert whatever face you want. While this may sound daunting at its face (hehe), it doesn’t involve too much effort. Also, shout out to YouTuber Mr. Dubbs for this tip!

Upon installing a face texture, go over to the website Faceswapper.AI. There, you’ll be able to swap the face of the texture you downloaded with whatever face you want. For the best results, I’d suggest finding a texture whose skin tone best matches the subject you’re trying to insert. It’s not super important, but it will make things a bit better.

If you’re looking to add your own face to the texture, the same principles apply. However, make sure that whatever picture you’re using for your face has good lighting. Otherwise, you can end up with some horrendous results akin to what we used to see in the NBA 2K games.

For Best Results, Remove The Eyes

Now that we’ve created the face texture that we want, the next thing you’re going to want to do is remove the eyes. This isn’t required per se, but it’s for sure the best practice as the CAW models in WWE 2K25 will automatically provide eyes for the character. Therefore, it’s best to just get rid of the eyes altogether.

The way I personally do this is by using the Patch tool in Photoshop, removing the eyes in favor of a skin-like texture. However, not everyone has access to Photoshop, so using an online tool such as Paint.net will suffice.

If using Paint, simply fill in the eyes with whatever color best matches the skin tone of the face texture. This can be done with a color dropper tool. Once you’ve removed the eyes, we can upload our creation.

Upload Your Face Texture

Once you’ve finished creating your face texture, the time has come to upload it to WWE 2K25. To do this, do the following steps:

  • Open your web browser
  • Go to wwe2k.com/upload
  • Sign into whatever account you use for your platform

Once you’ve done that, you’ll be directed to a page where you can upload various kinds of images. The one you’re looking for is called “Face Photo.” These images are supposed to be of a 512×512 dimension, but so long as your image is a perfect square, resizing it isn’t necessary.

After selecting Face Photo, upload the face texture you made. Upon uploading it, open WWE 2K25 on your PC or console. To find the face texture you just uploaded, do the following:

  • From the main menu, tab over to Community Creations
  • Select Image Manager
  • Find your face texture in the Incoming section
  • Download it using the button prompt

Upon completing these steps, your face texture will now be uploaded into the game.

Apply The Face Texture To A Created Wrestler

The time has finally come to begin creating your custom Superstar using the face texture you’ve made and uploaded.

To create a Superstar, here are the steps:

  • From the main menu, tab to Creations
  • Select Superstar
  • Choose New

Upon choosing to make a new Superstar, you’ll be given a few presets depending on which gender your created wrestler will be. From here, it’s best to choose one that best matches your face shape. As you can see from the image above, I made the mistake of putting my egghead on much wider template face, so… yeah.

After choosing whichever template works best for you, select Face, then Face Photo Capture. Choose the face texture you uploaded, then shape it to best match the character’s head. When applying the face texture to a character’s head, use the mouth and eyebrows for reference. Even if it doesn’t line up perfectly, you can custom-sculpt everything. After that, you’re pretty much done.

If you fail on your first try, don’t worry about it. Even the best creators in the WWE 2K community failed a bunch before they got things going.
