How do we make the Guardian a better place for conversation (23 April)? Promote accountability by rejecting pseudonymous contributions. Only whistleblowers merit anonymity.

• When it comes to the issue of letter-writing, productivity and capitalism (Letters, 28 April), the definitive text is obviously Marx’s Capital, volume one. Unfortunately, in chapter 4 he makes it clear that labour, in this case letter-writing, that does not produce a profit (surplus value) is regarded as unproductive. Not of course that this stopped Marx from writing large numbers of letters himself.
