Tutor profiles

Natasha Bardon is the editorial director of Voyager, the science fiction and fantasy imprint of HarperCollins publishers. Her most recent debut authors and their books published in 2015 include Francesca Haig’s The Fire Sermon, Sabaa Tahir’s An Ember in the Ashes and Peter Newman’s The Vagrant.

Francesca Haig is a novelist, poet and academic. The Fire Sermon, her debut novel, is the first in a post-apocalyptic trilogy. Rights for the book have sold in 26 countries around the world and it has been optioned by DreamWorks for film. Find Francesca on Twitter here.

Den Patrick is the author of five books for Gollancz. His novels The Boy with the Porcelain Blade and The Boy Who Wept Blood form the first two instalments of The Erebus Sequence. The third book, The Girl on the Liar’s Throne, is due out in January 2016. Den was recently nominated for the Best Newcomer category by the British Fantasy Society.
