Writers and people from other fields will be felicitated at the Sahiti Vasanthotsavam programme being organised by Sahiti Samakhya on Ugadi at Sri Venkateswara Vignana Mandiram here on Saturday.
Those to be honoured are Telugu poet Jonnavithula Ramalingeswara Rao, Sahitya Akademi awardee Papineni Siva Sankar, film director Indraganti Mohana Krishna, lyricist Ananth Sriram, TV anchor Swapna, folk literature researcher Harikishan, Telugu writers D.V.M. Satyanarayana and Paravastu Phani Sayanasuri .
In a statement, secretary S.V.S. Lakshmi Narayana said that the day also marked the silver jubilee of the organisation, which has been holding a literary festival on Ugadi every year.
Joint Collector A.S. Dinesh Kumar will preside over the event. High Court judge Justice U. Durga Prasad will be the chief guest.
