Write for us about: Nirvana's greatest album

With Nirvana's Nevermind celebrating its 20th birthday, now seems like a suitable opportunity to reopen the debate: which is the band's greatest album?

While Nevermind undoubtedly won Nirvana international acclaim, is it their best work? Does it improve on its more raw predecessor Bleach, or does In Utero crystallise what made Nirvana such an important band? Do you prefer the stripped-back acoustic renditions of Unplugged in New York, the live energy of From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah, or the more scatter-gun approach of Incesticide?

In order to kick off the debate, we'd like you to briefly make a case for each Nirvana album. So that's:

Bleach
Nevermind
In Utero
Incesticide
MTV Unplugged in New York
From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah

If you'd like to contribute, write a brief paragraph (no more than 100 words) on one of the albums explaining why you think it's best, and send it to adam.boult@guardian.co.uk before 11pm on Thursday 28 September. Please include your Guardian username and your real name (but mention if you'd prefer us not to use it), and make the subject line of your email "Nirvana panel". We'll be selecting six entries for publication, one on each album. Please note we may not be able to respond to all submissions.
