Wrightbus hope as two potential bidders emerge

Two potential bidders are eyeing up Wrightbus, it emerged on Tuesday night.

The Ballymena based company went into administration last week, with 1200 job losses.

But, MP Ian Paisley told councillors at a special Mid and East Antrim Council meeting that all was not lost.

In a letter he said that one of the potential buyers is from England, and the other from the United States.

While a deal could be completed next week, the size of the ‘new’ workforce would likely be smaller according the Mr Paisley.

Paisley told the BBC: “I have spoken to two bidders, they are in the frame, they are making serious offers about this company.”
