Wrexham's King Street Coffee to close bus station cafe

A popular bus station coffee shop will close next month.

King Street Coffee Company has traded successfully at the depot in Wrexham for five years after being opened by brothers Phil and Andy Gallanders.

Andy left to open Bank Street Social in 2018 and both shops have gone from strength to strength.

Now the brothers have been offered the chance to partner with Town Square Spaces - which opens hubs for start-up and small businesses - to open up coffee shops in future projects.

This has seen Phil announce King Street Coffee will close on Saturday March 6.

He said: "We've always been blown away with the support that the people of Wrexham have shown us, especially in the last year with the issues brought about by the Covid situation.

"Our focus on quality goods and service alongside supporting the local community has led to us being offered the chance to partner with Town Square Spaces to open up coffee shops in future projects.

"In order to deliver these projects to the best of our abilities King Street Coffee Company will be closing and I'll be joining Andy at Bank Street Social to continue serving top quality coffee and craft beer.

"The first space operated by Town Square Social will be opening in Rhyl later on this year with plans to expand to town centres all over the UK."
